Oh, poor Tom. Our second fighting fish (the same type as Tom?) lived for almost two years. But our first one, Darth Vader, didin’t make it more than a week. Maybe because he ate a popcorn that someone accidentally placed in his bowl.
I had my goldfish for three years in Connecticut and the day I moved down to Philadelphia and changed his water he died. It was terrible. Unbeknownst to me Philadelphia water is riddled with acids and they just burned through him. I hope Tom went a different way.
Also, you should totally make her Tom drawing into a pillow!
Dear Tom,
I only met you once but I could tell you were a good fish.
Love,
Nicole

yes, he was a fighting fish and was pretty cheerful at first. It was pretty heartbreaking but now Elsa’s campaign for a dog is in full swing.

sadie wept with pure devastation last week when i denied her 1,000th request for a dog.
