MY FIRST WEDDING DRESS

1srdress 1stdres2
The first dress (of 3!) I bought for our wedding. Sadly, I don’t have it anymore. I lent it out and it was lost. I don’t even have a good picture! It was so simple and delicate with little scalloped edged flaps at the top. I bought it from the vintage section at Jill Stuart. I don’t know if they still carry vintage but it was a really nice selection years ago. I wore it only once, on our first anniversary. If you’ve seen this dress let me know!

It’s terrible that this got lost – here’s to hoping it turns up.

(On a side note, I am glad you posted this so I could prove to my husband that I am not the only woman who ended up with three wedding dresses.)

ha! I know we aren’t the only ones too. My dresses are all so different from each other too. I have the other two…one I keep meaning to sell on ebay and the other one was the real deal.

  7. [...] This was the first and this was the second and above is the dress I ended up with. I had a really hard time finding a dress that I felt like myself in. I saw these two images of this dress before I found it. One from the designer’s show (Judd Waddell)  and one from an editorial in Martha Stewart Weddings. I went to a shop that carried the designer and asked about it. They had just held a trunk show and no one had even tried the dress on. They learned that the dress wasn’t going to be available for ordering so they called to inquire about the sample. It was still available, needed very little alterations and was the color I was looking for. I even got a deal on it because it was a sample! A few more pictures from the wedding below (by Linda Wan).
