I bought this huge poster years ago but could not find it for the last few. I thought it was gone forever. I only had the sticker that came on the outside of the wrapping, which I have hung up in my daughters’ room. I was so happy when I finally found the poster. It’s called “das jahr” and is by Marlene Reidel, who I think is a German Children’s book illustrator. I need to learn more about her, but am finding most information in German. I hung the poster up low so the girls can really look at it. Elsa likes to make up stories about the pictures and Astrid is especially fond of the dog.

That precious little hand caressing the doggy is just about the cutest, heartstring-tugging thing I’ve ever seen.

    Adorable.

I had this or a version of this as a puzzle when I was a child. I remember it was a winter, summer, autumn, spring puzzle.

hi emily, I bought the poster about 8 years ago in Copenhagen at the cutest children’s bookstore. I wish I knew the name of it. It was my first time in Denmark and the first thing I bought! I carried it around for two weeks in my giant backpack.

This gallery belongs to the daughter of Marlene Reidel. I am German born in the same town as her and grew up with her books. So lovely records to my childhood.
