these the cutest stools ever! By Paola Navone for Riva 1920
The top is Elsa’s drawing of our family as pilgrims. The one holding the baby with the circle on the top is me. She always draws my bun. The bottom drawing is her with our thanksgiving meal. Note the giant ice cream cone in her hand. The most important part of the meal according to her.
Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.3 comments

Andy and Ryan open the South Willard and Reference Library Shrimp Shop this weekend. I’m so bummed the girls and I won’t be there, especially for the party. If you are in the LA area, definitely stop by and bring your kids. There will be music and a singalong plus some amazing new and vintage items just for kids. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.
I made some bloomers out of old feedsacks for the shop, modeled by Astrid : )
A year or so after the first one, I bought this dress at a vintage fair in NYC right after Andy and I set our wedding date. I wasn’t sure what I would do with it, but I felt like I couldn’t pass up such pretty lace at such a good price. I eventually found the perfect dress elsewhere and had always planned to do something with this one but never did. It’s quite difficult to photograph and it’s in great condition. The shape feels kind of 20s to me, but I have no idea how old it is. My friend came with me and we found her amazing dress there too. We also shared a dressing room with Angie Harmon when we were trying stuff on. Crazy!
(I keep planning to sell this dress. If you are interested, please email me at erin (at) birdandbanner (dot) com.).3 comments
